Using heart rate variability (HRV) has helped me to develop a better understanding of my body and my stress management. I took the HRV measurement in the morning and used these few minutes to focus on my breathing and start the day more consciously. With the help of a little protocol on my part and Katrin's HRV coaching, I was able to recognise stress patterns and improve my general well-being. Especially in stressful everyday life - balancing work and family - the measurement itself helped me to listen to my body better. Before I started measuring HRV, I couldn't describe my energy and stress levels with facts and figures. Thanks to HRV and knowledge about biofeedback, I can plan my activities better, e.g. when I have stressful and long working days behind me, the sympathetic nervous system value is very low. On these days I don't work longer than 8 hours, build active breaks into my office routine and plan training sessions in the evening. As a result, my HRV is between 8 and 10 the next day. I am able to recognize stress, overtraining and upcoming illnesses early on and take measures to improve my health. I learned all of this during HRV coaching with Katrin, especially what the facts and figures mean for my subsequent actions and plans. It helps me to live a more balanced and healthier life in terms of stress.
