Anyone interested in English as a Business Lingua Franca (BELF) and its implications on language teaching and learning in a business context

After becoming a teacher, Virginia López Grisolía specialized in ESP & Linguistics, and has taught those subjects for decades. Based in Buenos Aires, she has been Director of Studies at Interaction Language Studio, a company devoted to Business English. Her passion nowadays is to read about ELF/BELF and their pedagogical implications.

After working in the export department of a beverage group, Katrin Lichterfeld did an MA and a CertIBET. For two decades, she has been focusing on business communication and intercultural competence as a freelance in-company trainer in the Ruhr area in Germany. She also works as a solution-focused coach. (ICF Professional Certified Coach and EMCC SP)

She has given talks at ELT events about ELF and native-speakerism. She holds a CPE, CELTA, and DELTA 1 and 3. Currently working on DELTA 2.

Evan Frendo has been involved in business English teaching since 1993. He is based in Berlin, Germany, but his work, at least before COVID, took him to many places in Europe and Asia. Nowadays he divides his time between training, writing and consulting, almost all of it online.

An ESL teacher for over 12 years, he holds an MA in English Education from the University of Northern Colorado as well as CELTA, Cert-IBET, and TEFL certificates.
